I promised a little menu talk, so here goes my first attempt at Menu Monday:
Monday: Spaghetti (my favorite!)
Tuesday: Stroganoff Style Roast (B's favorite)
Wednesday: Pasta e Fagioli Soup
Thursday: Black and Bleu Salads
Friday: Grilled Tilapia
Saturday: Crumb Baked Pork Chops
Sunday: Fish Tacos
Bradley brings leftovers for lunch most days, so we try to mix things up whenever possible. I'll pop some extra spaghetti sauce into the pasta e fagioli soup, use Tuesday's leftover roast slices in the black and bleu salads and roll the remaining tilapia into our fish tacos.
Y'all know I'm not a homemaker, but I'm certainly trying. I'm reading up on couponing, as I have some unbelievably talented friends who are setting records with how much they save at the grocery store each week!
Between Dave Ramsey, Southern Savers and Emealz, I think we're going to see a big difference. (Mary Douglass said the same thing on Twitter just after I posted this - so glad to see we're not the only ones!)
If I could just stretch our grocery budget and reallocate some of those funds to, say, spring shoes, I'll be a happy girl! (Ok, a Caribbean getaway this winter would be a fine way to spend the dinero as well...)
What are y'all cookin' up for this week? And is this too boring to even talk about?

Yes, Southern Savers is wonderful! How did I ever get by before Jenny?!
I love Southern Savers! It has taken me awhile to get good at couponing but i'm getting better!
I'm coming to your house for dinner!
Love reading about how you are utilizing extra "at home" time. I will be going part-time after our baby comes in July and will be looking to save money by cooking more, couponing and trying to make the dollars stretch farther so the lost income doesn't hurt as much! Love reading your ideas!
LOVE that you are the savy shopper- looked at the website that you told me about and it is super confusing- I am not smart enough to figure it all out :)
