Bradley and I met on Clemson's campus and celebrated our first Valentine's Day on a double date with other people. It took setting him up with someone else to realize he was my lobster; I'm thrilled he agreed.
We tied the knot in 2007 and started our life in Greenville, South Carolina.
Our son, Mac, was born in October 2009; shortly thereafter I left my job at an advertising agency to be a full-time mom and start a freelance public relations business.
Mac became a big brother on Valentine's Day 2012, when our sweet Mary Brooks arrived. The first few weeks of her life were a golden haze, but in early March things changed quickly. (You can read her story here.)
In the spring of 2013 we lost our third baby early in my second trimester; soon after we learned we were expecting a new addition to our family around Mary Brooks' second birthday.
Our son Chapman arrived six weeks early, just after New Year's 2014. After his time in the NICU, another hospital stay and the all-around busyness of life, I fell behind on the day-to-day "virtual baby book" aspect of blogging.
Three years of "hiatus" later, I'm back to freshen things up and continuing recording the snippets of everyday life I so quickly forget.
The most important update? We completed our family in February 2016 when "baby Mae" was born. Mae was her sister's fourth birthday present, according to Brooksie, and is absolutely adored by all three of her older siblings. If she ends up spoiled rotten, it won't be by me...
The last few years have put our life in a blender - changing us, challenging us, breaking us and ultimately strengthening our faith in ways we didn't know were possible. We look forward to what comes next!
