My friend Kristen recently confessed a newfound love for one Miley Cyrus.
I, of course, disagreed. She represents a lot of things that I'm very anti- (let's throw grammar out the window here) and I just find her a little, I don't know, grating.
So why am I humming this song all the time? I rarely ever listen to the radio, and sweet li'l Miles is certainly not on the iPod I do listen to, so why is my brain punishing me this way?
And yet it's so catchy...try not to sing along!

I know what you mean - my husband and I heard this in the car and were both like, "Hmmm - who sings this song? It's kind of catchy?" I got home and looked up the lyrics and was like, "Um, honey - it's Miley Cyrus". Oh well!
Really, really like the song, but still wish she hadn't performed it while pole dancing. In hot pants. At the TEEN CHOICE AWARDS.
I definitely think that her behavior proves that she has a LOT of growing up to do, but I guess I can't hold that against her. Let's just call it a love/hate relationship. :)
I can't get this song out of my head either. And, I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that it is on my ipod right now...
The first time I heard this song, I told Matt that it rivaled "Piece of my heart", by Mandy Moore for worst teeny bopper song ever. "Piece of my heart," Matt said, "You mean, 'Beat of my heart'" "Whatever, Mister "I've watched Mean Girls one too many times." Anyway...it unfortunately has been sticking in my head a lot too and I will admit it has a catchy beat and I may grudgingly admit its decent. As I listened to the song, though. I invisioned a totally different music video. My idea is an innocent, shy looking girl shoulders tucked in as she walks by all of the LA hooches, then slightly starts to move and groove, like a total white girl (a la Traci Major) and let loose a and have a little fun. Miley, you let me down.
